Lemon thyme (Thymus citriodorus) is a fragrant, low-growing perennial herb with lemon-scented leaves, making it a popular addition to herb gardens. It produces small, pale pink to purple flowers in late spring and summer, and its leaves are commonly used in cooking, particularly in Mediterranean dishes. Lemon thyme thrives in well-drained soil and full sun, and it is frost hardy. It makes an excellent ground cover and is drought tolerant once established.
