A great biennial plant for the home dyer, also with a history in Chinese medicine. A member of the brassica family, it grows a long tap root and a rosette of leaves, used to make blue dye.
Grow in sunny fertile drained soil with good air flow.
Frost hardy.
Grows to 100cm.
10cm pot.
