A rare and captivating tuberous perennial, Sandersonia aurantiaca, commonly known as Christmas Bells or Chinese Lantern Lily, produces delicate, lantern-shaped flowers in a glowing shade of golden-orange. Blooming in summer, these charming, bell-like flowers dangle elegantly from slender, twining stems, reaching 60-90cm in height. Their long-lasting beauty makes them highly sought after for cut flower arrangements and garden displays alike.
Native to South Africa, Sandersonia aurantiaca thrives in well-draining soil and a warm, sheltered position with plenty of sun. It performs beautifully in borders, containers or bringing an exotic touch to any garden.
