Tall and graceful, this long-flowering perennial sends up airy stems topped with soft lemon-yellow, pincushion-like flowers from mid to late summer. A magnet for bees and butterflies, and a fantastic ‘see-through’ plant that mingles beautifully with grasses and other perennials.

Reaches 1.5–2 m tall, with a loose, open habit and clumps of coarse green basal foliage.

Growing conditions:

Full sun preferred

Likes well-drained soil

Tolerates dry summers once established

Hardy across NZ

Uses: wildlife gardens, naturalistic planting, height and movement.

Excellent cut flower — stems are long and flowers last well in arrangements.
