This rare double-flowered form of greater celandine produces charming yellow blooms that resemble tiny rosettes, flowering from late spring through summer. The soft blue-green foliage adds a gentle presence to shaded borders, and the plant’s relaxed habit makes it well-suited to naturalistic or semi-wild gardens.

Traditionally valued in herbal medicine, Chelidonium majus has a long cultural history, though caution is advised — the orange sap can be irritating to skin and eyes. 'Flore Pleno' is primarily ornamental, appreciated for its ease of growth and gentle self-seeding in favourable conditions.

Growing Conditions:

Prefers part shade but tolerates full sun in cooler climates. Grows best in moist, well-drained soil and naturalises well in woodland-style or lightly tended borders. Hardy throughout New Zealand.
