Filipendula ulmaria (Meadowsweet)
$15.90
A graceful native of damp meadows and streambanks across Europe and western Asia, Filipendula ulmaria is cherished for its sweetly fragrant, creamy-white flowers that froth above the foliage in early to midsummer. These delicate clusters draw bees and other beneficial insects, while the sharply toothed leaves release a pleasant, almond-like aroma when crushed. Once used in traditional herbal medicine as a fever remedy (and a natural source of salicylates), meadowsweet still finds a home in herb gardens and wild, moisture-loving borders alike.
