This charming Lisianthus cultivar brings a refined elegance to the summer garden, with rose-like blooms in cool, silvery blue edged in crisp white. The gently ruffled petals open on upright stems, making it a standout in borders, containers, or the cut flower patch. Though often grown as an annual in colder climates, it behaves as a short-lived perennial in warmer parts of New Zealand with excellent drainage.
Native to the southern United States and Mexico, it thrives in sunny, open sites and rewards good care with an extended flowering season from mid to late summer. The flowers are long-lasting in the vase, and their sophisticated look belies the plant’s surprising toughness.
