Salvia leucantha 'White Tip' is a soft yet bold perennial, loved for its velvety purple flower spikes tipped in white, blooming in abundance from late summer through autumn in New Zealand. Native to Mexico, it brings a touch of subtropical flair to temperate gardens. The blooms are especially attractive to bees and butterflies, while the soft, aromatic green foliage adds texture to sunny borders or containers.
This variety thrives in drier, free-draining soils and warmer microclimates. It’s semi-deciduous — retaining foliage in mild winters but dying back in cooler regions.
