Sweet Cicely (Myrrhis odorata) is a hardy perennial herb native to Europe, known for its sweet, aniseed-like aroma. This plant grows tall, producing feathery, fern-like leaves and delicate white flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. Its sweet-tasting leaves and seeds are used in cooking, particularly in desserts and to sweeten fruit preserves. Sweet Cicely prefers moist, well-drained soil and thrives in partial to full sun.Growing to a height of 90–120 cm with a spread of around 30–45 cm, it makes a great addition to herbaceous borders or perennial vegetable gardens.
