Thalictrum flavum

Thalictrum flavum is a tall, graceful perennial that produces clouds of soft yellow flowers suspended above handsome blue-green foliage from early to mid-summer. Native to damp meadows and riverbanks across Europe and western Asia, it brings an airy, meadow-like quality to borders while still providing impressive height. The flowers lack petals, instead creating their effect through masses of delicate stamens that catch the light beautifully. Its upright stems are excellent for weaving through other perennials and add movement without heaviness.
