Campanula saxifraga

Campanula saxifraga is a charming alpine perennial that forms neat cushions of small green leaves topped with masses of nodding violet-blue bell flowers from late spring into summer. Native to rocky mountain regions of southern Europe, it naturally grows in crevices and well-drained slopes, making it ideal for rock gardens and trough plantings. Despite its delicate appearance, it is remarkably resilient and can flower generously for many weeks. The compact habit allows it to tuck neatly between stones or spill gently over edges, softening hard surfaces with colour and texture.
