Digitalis lutea

Digitalis lutea, commonly known as the straw foxglove, is a graceful perennial producing slender spires of soft buttery-yellow tubular flowers from early to mid-summer. Smaller and more delicate than the common foxglove, it has an airy elegance that allows it to weave beautifully through mixed borders and woodland gardens. Native to southern and central Europe, it forms neat clumps of deep green foliage and often self-sows gently into suitable spots, creating natural-looking drifts. The flowers are highly attractive to bees and bring a light, informal feel to the garden.
