Acinos alpinus, commonly known as Alpine Calamint, is a charming, low-growing perennial with small, delicate, purple-blue flowers that bloom from summer into autumn. It's leaves are aromatic and give off a pleasant minty fragrance when brushed, making it a delightful addition to rock gardens, borders, or alpine meadows. This hardy plant is a great choice for attracting bees and other pollinators, adding both beauty and ecological value to your garden.
Native to the mountainous regions of Southern and Central Europe, Acinos alpinus thrives in free draing soils.

Planting Information:
Prefers well-drained, rocky, or sandy soils. It tolerates poor soil conditions but will thrive in a more fertile soil.
Plant in full sun to part shade for optimal growth and flowering.
Drought-tolerant once established.

Care Tips:
Acinos alpinus is easy to care for, requiring little attention once established. Occasional trimming after flowering can encourage a more compact shape and promote reblooming.

This plant is excellent for rock gardens, borders, and containers. Its aromatic leaves are sometimes used in traditional herbal remedies, though it's primarily grown for ornamental purposes.
